Children and the workers from their Internat travel to Zabaghly for the residential
Many of the activities were designed to help children build friendships
At the beginning of the residential, some children could not name a single friend, at the end everyone could name a friend!
Facing new challenges helped to build self confidence
The activities were varied and fun, but all helped children to feel good about themselves and become more confident in expressing their feelings
At the end of the residential strong bonds had been developed
Whilst working on the residential the children took photos for the production of a set of lobbying postcards, this photo featured!
This image was used on one of the lobbying postcards produced by the residential group
Children learnt with their Internat workers so it is hoped that some of the new ways of working discussed will be maintained back at school.
The group of young deaf people brainstorm ideas for their lobbying resolution
These young people hope to form their own deaf youth association to continue the work of the project
Meetings were held to discuss the findings of the research and prepare the lobbying resolution
