Workshops from Bushenyi
In the project Silent Voices, Bushenyi District Education Department organised training sessions for primary school teachers working at rural units for deaf children.
There were two elements of the training course. One was called from signing to writing and the other was called the meaning of abstracts.There were also two workshops focusing on the creation of teaching materials using the methodology

The training sessions were led by two deaf primary school teachers from Kampala and focused on providing teachers with the practical tools to communicate with deaf children in the classroom, to teach vocabulary thematically and to develop literacy skills.
