This report, published in French in 2005, provides an in-depth summary of services available for deaf people in Niger. It is the result of a collaboration between a French NGO, Association Lieux d’Espoir pour le Developpement (ALED), and NGOs working with deaf people in Niger. It covers education for deaf children, provides profiles of NGOs involved in work with deaf and disabled people, an overview of the major causes of deafness in the country and consideratiosn on the integration of deaf people in Niger.
