Real lives
Welcome to the Real lives section where you can read stories and diaries written by deaf children, deaf young people, parents and volunteers, about their personal experiences of childhood deafness and their opinions about issues that concern them.
We are always keen to receive new stories, diaries and anything else you would like to share with us including photos and drawings. Perhaps you are a parent of a deaf child or you are deaf yourself? Or perhaps you worked on a volunteering project with deaf children? We would love to hear from you. Visit the My story and Day in the life sections now and find out how you can send us your story!
