• Our network

We want to make it easy for people working with deaf children around the world to stay in touch with each other and to be able to keep everyone up to date with information that's useful to them. It's easy to join the network - you just need to complete a simple online form.

In the resource library, we publish more in-depth articles on work with deaf children and their families in developing countries. Articles cover a wide range of issues - from country profiles on services for deaf children in specific countries to articles addressing inclusion, education, Sign Language development, and HIV/AIDS.

Members of our Network have submitted articles describing their experiences on specific projects and we have published them here so everyone can learn from their experiences. You can post your comments on each of these case studies to contribute to the discussion or submit a case study of your own. We look forward to hearing from you!

A more comprehensive database of organisations working on childhood deafness around the world is available via Our network  but this is a selection of resources that we have found particularly useful and wanted to share with you.

In this section you can read stories and diaries written by deaf children, deaf young people, parents and volunteers, about their personal experiences of childhood deafness.
